Multi-talent for Offense, Defense and Special Teams joins Frankfurt Universe

Frankfurt Universe has a first U.S. player for the 2013 season. Tyler Phillips, born 29 August 1990 in St. Paul/Minnesota, will join the team during the first week in April.
John Rosenberg, Head Coach of the Frankfurt GFL2-club, is convinced of Phillips’ skills: “In our recruiting for defensive import I looked at many Defensive Backs. Tyler Phillips has played both Corner and Safety and showed excellent performance at a wide range of skills. He can play five different positions in our defensive scheme. Also, his intelligence, personality and values will make him a positive addition to the Universe family.”

John Rosenberg new Head Coach of Frankfurt Universe

Frankfurt Universe has a new Head Coach. The German Football League team is now working with no less than the well-known coaching legend John Rosenberg. The Californian, a Harvard graduate, has gathered many years of experience in the college leagues, coached in nine Bowl games and even won the NCAA Championship with Penn State.
Until 2010, Rosenberg coached several German and European top teams, with Hamburg he won the German Bowl and led the Munich Cowboys back from the minor GFL2 into the GFL.

Randall Payne is back in Frankfurt Universe-team

RB Randall Payne Only a few weeks ago, the Wiesbaden Phantoms published the message, their former Running Back Randy Payne may join the Frankfurt Universe-team in the GFL2. So, Universe asked the excellent 23-year-old Running Back, if he really wants to play a second time for the "Men in Purple" after the 2010 season.
Randall Lee Payne, born in Fort Stuart/Georgia, obviously liked the idea. “Frankfurt Universe is a very attractive club for good players who want to work in a professional environment. And it has, of course, some advantages for me to play for Universe. I live in Frankfurt, studying in Darmstadt... "

Eric Hoerl new Linebacker for Frankfurt Universe

Eric Hoerl is back: The 33-year-old, who was not only a supporter of Frankfurt Universe developing into a top-address in German Football in 2010 as a linebacker coach but also as a player, joins Universe again.
After one season with the Marburg Mercenaries Hoerl will be part of the Frankfurt GFL2-team again. "This time only as a player," says the highly popular Hoerl, who caught two interceptions in the 29:7-victory over the Freiburg Sacristans in 2010 and paved the way to the "Showdown in K- Town " – the play-off-game between Universe and the Kaiserslautern Pikes.
